Each and every person has a different perspective for success. For one person success is earning a lot of money but for the other person it Is getting a lot of fame. So we cannot say that success has a particular definition.
Considering success as a final goal is not right because nobody can get 100 percent successful in their life because there is always something or the other left to be accomplished.
To state the fact that an actor might be very famous but he may not be the richest compared to others while the other would be very rich, but not well known. Everybody has different goals in their life - some child wants to become a pilot, the other wants to become a doctor.
I don’t say that making these big goals is wrong but according to my personal perspective and experience it is not profitable. What I think that we should do is set short term goals in our life. Which would clearly help us a lot in our current life irrespective of what situations may occur in future. For ex – I am a student of class 10 and appearing for board examinations for the first time, so at this point of time my goal should not be how to crack IIT or any further studies. Right now my goal should be getting good marks in class 10. Moreover I should not just get too bogged down about marks. Instead, I should put in my best effort and that is what really matters in life.
Now is happiness = success.
The answer according to me is a complete NO because these 2 terms cannot be compared to each other because neither it is not compulsory that a person who has got success will be fully happy and contented in their life nor a person who is not successful would be sad. In fact in some cases unsuccessful tend to be more happy than compared to successful people.
Also success cannot be measured because someone wants to become a CEO in the company and some other person would be happy at some lower post too.
The major point is that success and happiness cannot be measured and thus they are un-comparable too.The things we should do to enhance or say upgrade ourself are that we should never be unhappy for whatever we get because the thing we are unhappy for could be someones dream or aspiration. Secondly we should never compare our self to other people because they have different goals. The thing that we should focus on is our present and how to handle things, how to manage oneself in bad conditions and how to always remain one step ahead of the flock so that we could be leaders and not wanderers.
We should work on our strengths rather than crying about our weaknesses. We should improvise our value that would be upgrading our calibre. Also in todays date, the thing that matters are intellectual skills and particularly knowledge because a person who memorises some books and score well but they aren’t able to speak or stand confidently that study is of no use but If a person does not have a very good command in memorizing stuff but they have a good amount of self confidence and they have good communication skills and high general knowledge they will surely get more success and would be more happy compared to the other one.
To summarise success is not happiness and happiness is not success in all cases and the people who manage to get both are the most lucky ones. So we should do what we are happy in doing irrespective of what it is and if we are happy to do it, we will surely get successful in it.
